Gregorio Arroyo Storms South West Body Building Battle

A West Country body builder soared through the regional heats of the Natural Physique Association’s (NPA) annual championships this week to earn himself a place in the national semi-finals.

Gregorio Arroyo, from Yeovil, won the South West contest, held at the Queens College Theatre in Taunton last month. The win followed the 36-year-old pharmacist’s recent victories in regional British Natural Body Building Federation contests – victories which qualify him for the UK finals in both competitions.

Gregorio told his local paper that he was very happy with the results of the two contests, and was keeping his fingers crossed for further wins in the next few months. However, he also displayed modesty, saying that he was aware that the body building competition would be tough, as he would be facing some of the best in Britain.

This year, the NPA British Finals take place on 23 October at the The Civic Hall in Bedworth, Warwickshire.
